Blog Hop - The Weekly Wrap-Up - Volume 1

Hello there!

I've co-hosted some uh-mazing blog hops with some great gals! {Like the Tuesday 10 with Mom2MemphisAndRuby and That Friday Blog Hop with Let Them Eat Cake. But never, have I taken on the task myself.

I don't know about you, but I tend to be a pessimist. Left to my thoughts, I can dwell on the bummers of day to day life. I find it helpful to reflect on the day / week/ month and try to focus on the positives.

Introducing.... The Weekly Wrap-Up!

The rules are pretty simple. Link up your weekly wrap-ups. Of course, the more positivity the better, but hey, I know we all have those bad weeks! At a loss for your format? Try 5 positives and 1 negative that sum up your week.

Please link up your posts below and put a button on your sidebar or in post if you have room. =)

So here is my week, in a nut shell.

I am thankful because:

1.) Hooray for 500+ facebook fans! That seems like a pretty big milestone to me. So much so, I'm organizing a super fantastic giveaway that is going to go live this Friday!

2.) Super Hooray for 100+ Twitter followers. For a gal who is still mostly Twitter illiterate, this seems like a pretty.big.deal.

3.) I worked out today, for the first time, in a long time. I'm fairly active in day to day life. Taking BooBoo for walks in the stroll, etc. But I'm talking 2 mile run on the treadmill type working out. Note to self: Felt great. Need to do that more.

4.) I successfully avoided processed food for the entire week and stuck within my meal plan, for the most part.

5.) My little dream. My little shop is starting to grow. Yesterday, I had record numbers of views to my shop and a nearly record day on sales. I love to see all my hard work paying off.

I coulda done without:

Realizing that what I weigh, right now, at this minute, is what I weighed at 9 months pregnant. No excuses. Something.has.got.to.give!

Now, I want to know. How was your week? What are you thankful for?

  1. I'm so happy for you with the processed food thing. We haven't had any in over seven months and it has been such a difference. You go girl!!!!

    1. 7 months! That's awesome!! Do you have any go to recipes you'd recommend for week nights? I'm struggling with dinners. I am getting bored of chicken, veggies, and some form of rice. ;)

    2. You know, I don't cook. My husband is the cook in our house. He makes homemade jambalaya a lot and we have pretty simple things like spaghetti, chili, dirty rice, tacos, meatloaf....just everything made from scratch and all fresh ingredients.
Its hard eating good when you don't have a lot of money but we have been having simple things like this and we have not touched anything process, with preservatives, anything that needs to be microwaved...things like that. And so far, it's been ok. But yes, there is a lot of things that get boring after a while.

  2. Okay, this week (I mean from last Thursday to today!) has been like real roller coasters!!! I should really do a weekly wrap up post, is it too late? And is it ok if it's not an actual calendar week...from Sunday to Saturday?!?! ;)
