Sunday Style - In the Home

For the past 6 weeks or so, I have been sporting a lot of pretty sad outfits. But I have an excuse! We've been remodeling our home. Ok, our home is less than 10 years old, so it's not necessarily remodeling, as much as making it our own. We tore out carpet and engineered hardwood. Tore out the existing doors and trim. Painted the ceilings and walls and installed our beautiful hickory floors. Next, my husband will be putting in the new doors and trim.And all new light fixtures!

This kind of hard work is rewarding! I absolutely love how things turned out so far, and can't wait to see the finished product. Here's a little taste of the "before"

Very much in love with our choice of rustic natural hickory for the floors and "mushroom bisque" for the walls. After we tackle the main living area (living room, dining room, entry, etc.) we are moving on to the bedrooms! So exciting! Can't wait to start on the real landscaping and exterior too. Wish I didn't have to have a day job, so I could just focus on decorating and landscaping my home. But alas, back to work in the morning! I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend!
